Janet is celebrating her second blogging anniversary today (July 30.)
During that time she has made 3 posts.
Kidding, Janet.
Janet doesn't exactly post every day, but when she posts it is quality stuff. I'm not going to go into all the reasons I like her blog or why I find it interesting. If you are a follower of hers, you already know; and if you aren't yet a follower, I want you to be. Go find out first-hand.
Janet doesn't know this, but Christopher Robin's creator, A. A. Milne, lived not far from where a dear friend of mine lives. The name Milne even conjures up happy thoughts in my little doggie brain. So that's a bonus even Janet doesn't know about.
Janet posted an "award" on her blog today for all her friends. There are no rules for taking the award, so I took it. I would have taken it even if there had been rules. I think I will make a badge from it an put it in my sidebar for a while. I have come to enjoy her writing very much and appreciate her support of my own blog more than I can say.
Congratulations on two years. I wish you many more.

You deserve the award, dear Max. You are always so gracious in your acceptance speeches. Janet is braver than I am, though. I would anticipate being on the receiving end of an earful. :)
A., that's not exactly true. The thing I have always had about "awards" is that they are not really awards at all but blog publicity gimmicks - originated mostly be people I have never heard of and demanding that I inflict some sort of duty on my own friends.
However, if you go to the trouble of making me a personal award, one that I don't have to pass on to others who don't know who you are, then I would be happy to accept. And I would be honored for the attention and trouble you put into it.
Like this one.
But, in truth, ANY award passed along to me by my friends and friends of this blog are flattering and appreciated. I just won't pass those kind along.
A great example of a fine personal award is one I gave to you some time ago: the magnificent Golden Prince Harry Award of Merit.
Gasp! I'd forgotten about the Golden Prince Harry Award! Was I ungracious? Oh mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. [Latin, because I know you love it.]
But I do realise that you appreciate awards, I was only teasing, I hope you understand that. I don't have the imagination to create my own awards, otherwise you would sink under a shower of them.
Max, you made me cry. In a good way. Thank you.
Oh Max, I have not been by her blog in a while and now I feel bad. She does have a talent for the written word. Congratulations Janet! One question begs to be asked. Does Canucklehead rule the roost here? I have always thought your posts were to get us involved and use our heads other than as a hat rack. I know I do not always join in the conversations but that is not to say I do not read them. Oh well, I will read whatever you post.:)
