Perhaps the primary use of color in graphic design is to create the proper mood in the viewer, often for advertising purposes. I admit I hadn't even considered this post might be used to interpret one's personality. Hmmmm. I think I may have made you all too suspicious now, after that psychology post.
Hey - if you get something out of a medical text, you ought to be able to believe it. Don't blame me. :)
@Sheila - I find that very hard to believe. There are almost 30 adjectives listed. True, contrary is not one of them. But loyal and serene are. Those are how I think of you.
I think you're right, these are the meanings that the colours are supposed to convey to the viewer. You could say that if you choose the colour scheme, it's an indication of how you want to be viewed by others. My blog colours were chosen to be as neutral as I could get, to allow for changes in header every season, though it gets close to warm, earthy and rich. Hmmm. :)
I left the winter 2007 header in place for the duration of my annus horribilis so it's time for a complete change. I shall think carefully this time but it will have to be a DIY job.
Ohhhhh, look at all the pretty colors. Bright and shiny. So few words in this post, so unlike you. How did you manage that? Thank you for the lengthy comment on my blog. I have to get myself into a blog visiting routine since I left EntreCard, sorry for my absence. I will return tomorrow and catch up on your long winded posts and comment accordingly.

Woohoo, I'm magical, whimsical, surprising AND reliable, responsible and loyal.
I can live with that.
And I don't fit any category. :) :)

Sorry for rambling. I'm a ramblin' woman. ;)
Loyal, I'll accept that. Serene? Like a swan? Serene to all outward appearances but going like the clappers underneath.
I'm going to bookmark this page for the next time I change my blog template so I can be welcoming, friendly and inviting...
I love those images, they are so true. Color belongs in harmony, and it's a shame when it's not.

"long winded"? You are SO brave! If I said that, I'd be in deep, deep trouble.
A. - He leaves comments on my blog that are longer than my posts. I'm just going to start copying and pasting and use them as a guest post.
